How Casper works
Coverage
Casper publishes a dated watchlist of U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs. Inclusion in the broader watchlist is not a recommendation or a ranked setup.
Publishing
Each edition records an edition date and a separate levels-as-of reference. Published editions are archived and are not silently rewritten.
Selection and ranking
Setups use the ranks and notes in the dated research source. Missing market-wide comparisons are not inferred. Themes describe context; status is tracked separately.
Trigger, invalidation and target
A trigger is the condition intended to activate a setup. Invalidation is the condition that breaks it. A target is shown only when one is supplied. Intraday and swing are separate horizons.
Status and expiry
Watching means published but not recorded as triggered. Triggered means the trigger was recorded as hit and the setup remains open. Target hit, stopped, expired and not triggered are terminal states. No default expiry is invented when the source does not provide one.
Scorecard and R
Entry is assumed at the trigger. For a long, R = (exit − trigger) / (trigger − invalidation). For a short, the signs reverse. R is computed from recorded exits, never typed manually. Not-triggered setups are excluded from R statistics.
Sources and delays
Research text comes from the dated source snapshot. TradingView supplies charts and may be delayed. Macro catalysts use Bureau of Labor Statistics schedules when available. News items show their source and publication time.
Excluded
No live quotes, brokerage data, accounts, server-stored user data, options pricing or streaming market data are included.
Corrections
Published editions are not silently edited. Corrections are appended to the affected edition with a date.
